I have never been interested –EVER– in any type of direct sales in my life. However, once I found Younique, I just couldn’t help myself! I am always seeking high-quality, affordable, good-to-my-skin options and had been using Physician’s Formula for the last several years. With Younique, I have found a product that is mostly natural, no parabens or sulfates/sulfites, gluten-free, partly organic, cruelty-free and best of all – IT WORKS!
With most natural and organic beauty products I’ve tried, I love the ingredients but they simply do not work well. The coverage of the powders and foundations are never what I’m looking for, leaving me feeling spotted and oily. The liners and mascaras have always run and had no staying power. The color choices have been limited to 3 or 4 hues and nothing ever matched my tones perfectly.
I am so excited to have found this company and to have solved all of these beauty issues! I continue to carry on with my oil cleansing technique, as I’ve found that it works best for my sensitive, rosacea prone skin. However, every single cosmetic product I use from Younique, quickly becomes my favorite.
My top three faves are:
- Beachfront Bronzer – The coverage, staying power and creaminess just can’t be compared to anything else I’ve tried. It lasts all day/night without any touchups and matches my skin tones perfectly. It glides on like silk, without any of the chalkiness I’ve experienced with comparable products.
- Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lash Mascara – As a natural strawberry blonde, my puny lashes are nearly invisible and nothing has ever pumped them up like this product. There’s a learning curve involved but after 2-3 applications, anyone can master it – even this beauty bumbler! (Bonus Tip: Roll the fiber wand on the back of your hand to ‘seat’ fibers before applying to lashes. This will keep you from getting any fibers in your eyes or down your cheeks.)
- Stiff Upper Lip Stain – In my early twenties, I can recall the lip stain craze that came about. I can also recall the stained lips that came about. While I loved the idea of something that lasted through the dating scene (dinner, drinks, etc) I did not love the scrubbing and brutal appearance of my lips afterwards! Stiff Upper Lip lasts just long enough, without that ugly stained look and the colors are so amazing when worn underneath the Lucrative Lip Gloss! (Bonus Tip: Stiff Upper Lip allows you a few seconds to adjust if you make a mistake and go outside the lines. Simply run your fingernail around the area to remove the product before it sets.)
I know we don’t know each other real well, but trust me when I tell you that you will love Younique, too, if you find that we have a lot in common. Despite my laid-back attitude at times, what I’m putting in and on my body means a great deal to me.
